Teacher: Mrs. Fiona
After finishing Hills Road Sixth Form College in my home town of Cambridge, England, I decided to travel to Canada. By doing so, I started a process that would lead me into the teaching profession. I spent an incredible winter in Mont Tremblant, Quebec, gaining my Level 2 CSIA Ski Instructor certification. I completed two further winter seasons instructing at the Kid’s Centre in Big White, British Columbia. This was when my passion for teaching began.
Upon returning to the UK I attended Leeds Metropolitan University and gained a BA (hons) degree in Childhood Studies and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
After many enjoyable years in the city of Leeds, I moved to London to teach at Thomas’ London Day School in Kensington. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching Year 3 and my position as PSHCE Coordinator.
St. Andrews International School, Bangkok (Nord Anglia Education) was my first international appointment. I worked there for 6 years across the Lower School and held the position of Head of House.
My passions lie in Early Childhood Education and I am delighted to hold the post of Early Years Learning Leader and Reception B Teacher at CDNIS. Who would have thought that my professional journey would lead me to the Canadian International School? Reconnecting with the country where I was inspired to enter the wonderful world of teaching.
Outside school, my husband and I are kept busy with our two young children. We enjoy exploring the vibrant city of Hong Kong and further afield.
