Prep C Homeroom Teacher (Ms. Ip)

Hello Everyone!

My name is Esther Ip and I am the Prep C homeroom teacher. I was born in Macau and raised in a small town south of Toronto, Ontario. As a proud “Londoner”, I attended the University of Western Ontario where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Childhood and Social Institutions and Psychology. Afterwards, I obtained my Bachelor of Education in Primary and Junior divisions. I am also a certified Kindergarten Specialist from the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario.

After graduating, I moved overseas to teach at the International School of Macao. I taught Kindergarten and Grade 2 for several years before returning to Canada. I then accepted a role to teach Grade 1 and Grade 2 in a Toronto private school. It didn’t take long before I was ready to travel again. Next stop… Hong Kong! During my first year at CDNIS, I taught Grade 2. I am thrilled to be entering my second year as a Prep teacher. Teaching is my passion and I absolutely love working with young children!

Outside of school, I enjoy exploring the city, trying out different durian-flavoured desserts and watching Marvel movies. I am beyond excited to start my second year at CDNIS and look forward to a fantastic year of learning and fun with the Prep C children!
