Hello 6A! My name is Ms. Benoit, but feel free to call Ms. B. I am thrilled to be teaching you this year and look forward to an exciting year together.
This is my second year at CDNIS. Last year, I was the G3 Learning Leader and this year, I have the privilege to be leading the new G6 team. I love CDNIS’ innovative and friendly community and I see myself as being part of it for many years in the future. While I have only been two years at CDNIS, this my sixteenth year of teaching in Hong Kong and my thirteen years of PYP. I have been an IB PYP workshop leader since 2012 and have many years of facilitating the PYP Exhibition under my belt. I have received a BA in Political Sciences, majoring in International Relations, and a Post Graduate diploma in English Language Education. Originally from Belgium, I consider Hong Kong home and have been living in Sai Kung for many years. I love Sai Kung’s sense of community and closeness to nature. Do let me know if you ever come to Sai Kung on the weekend.
Hello! My name is Monica Costa. I have been teaching for ten years. My career began as a teacher in New Jersey, USA where I worked for 6 years. In 2014, my husband and I had the opportunity to begin working as international teachers in Rome, Italy. It was a wonderful experience! Then, we moved to Portugal and worked at an international school in Lisbon. We were both born in Portugal, so it was nice to return to our roots.
I have a 14-month-old daughter, who I try spending as much time with because she is so much fun! I love being a new mom and treasure every moment with my family! One of the things I have always enjoyed doing is traveling because I appreciate the diversity encountered with new cultures in new places. Now, it will be a totally new experience with a baby tagging along!
I am very fortunate to have joined the CDNIS community and look forward to a new school year in Hong Kong!
