Explain the step by step process of this assignment… *
I started this project by making a proposal and then I made a research about songs mashup. Then I chose my first song for the mashup, which is Faded by Alan Walker sang by Iselin Solheim. Also I added an instrumental for the background music. Then I added two songs which is Roar by Kate Perry and Demons by Imagine Dragons

My song is a mashup song which is three minutes and thirty two seconds which I think is great and I think I have been creative during this project and understanding the music.

 

Evaluate your learning and new skills acquired. *
Learnt how to make mashup songs and the timing of the mashup is the another thing I also learnt during the project.I think that the mashup is kind of successful during the project because I listen to these songs a lot and found out the timing of the mashup.

 

What challenges did you face and overcome. *
I think that the hardest challenge that I over came is that when I just started the project I didn’t know what songs to choose because the most songs I listen were other language’s songs but then I chose Faded, Roar and Demons which are great songs.

I think that the first step is to choose songs and then learn how to mash the songs. Also I need to know how to mash the songs perfectly. Then I need to make my song with the chosen songs.

Culminating Assignment

Describe the process of this assignment. *
I learnt how to use the different things such as loops and the software instrument through the unit and then I put everything I learnt into this song. I first recorded four sounds around the school including a sound of a teacher talking. Then I edited them with different plug-ins such as echo, distortion, etc. Then I made music with the garage band’s software instruments. Also I added some loops then I combined all the sounds I recorded and made into a song. I used loops, software instruments and sounds that I recorded to make this song.

 

Discuss your CDNIS sounds and how useful they were for your end product. *
The first sound I recorded was a sound of clapping hands. The second sound was the sound of a fan. The third sound is a sound of someone closing a locker. The last sound is a teacher saying “stop talking!” These sounds are pretty important in the music so I think that these sounds are pretty useful.

I have learnt how to use the loops, software instrument and all the other plug-ins in the garage band

I didn’t know how to use the plug-ins at first but now I found out the ways to use them.
