Logo Design Crit C

In this task, we were challenged to make a logo that represents us the most with Adobe illustrator. First, I started by doing the plan we were supposed to follow. It stated all the things we need to do and I carefully planned everything out. Next was to learn how to use illustrator. My teacher taught everyone how to use all the tools. After learning, it was the most important step, making the logo. I used a circle as an outline, then I coloured it in and created the tower and the shadow. Finally, I asked some of my classmates to review my logo and almost everyone told me to make the shadow more realistic, otherwise, it was ok. I think I did a good job and confidence in my grade.        今天, 我帶著我的雞蛋上學時,感到很緊張,因為有可能我的保護會被人弄壞,或者我的雞蛋飛出來。

      在中文課我說口頭報考時,覺得非常緊張,因為我練的很少,所以覺得會說的很差, 但最後還說得蠻好。

         我們選創造獎時,我心裡在想:“我一定拿不到。” 但誰知道我贏了!我的保護想法是用吸管做了一個金字塔,再用竹籤來支撐


China pollution

Recently for POW( problem of the week ), I did a bit of research on China’s pollution. If you don’t know, China is the greatest polluter in the world and only 3% of water is drinkable in Beijing and 50% of water is not useable for anything, even a fountain for decoration.  If you would want to find out more about this,click on the link for google slide on the bottom!



我前幾個星期在學校要做一個段電影. 我們要和一個同伴在兩個星期內完成這個電影. 我覺得我做的很好,因為我在時間內做完我的部分, 但我的同伴沒有做完他那部分,所以我們沒有完成.如果可以再做多一次, 我會叫我的同伴做得快一點, 就會有時間完成。

This unit, we talked about how we can organize ourselves. The central idea of this unit was Being organised empowers us to take action more effectively, so for this unit, we helped a non-profit organization called Two presents. This organization helps other organizations, like WWF(world wildlife fund), box of hope, Kids 4 kids, the Hub, etc. For my group, we did the Hub. The Hub is an NGO(Non-Government organization) and they help people in poverty. They mostly help children and people with families. We help them make toys and make things for fun, like our own version of monopoly, colouring sheets and brain teasers.


We also learned about different types of business like corporation, cooperative,  Family own business. For me, I did family owned business and learned a lot about it. We used a graph to get the parts, people and interactions in the family business. The parts of the business are the company. The people are CEO, Managers, workers, employees, etc  


For this unit, I learned that when people are more organized, they work more efficiently.  

Peace day project.

A week ago, we did a peace day project. We made peace flags. We wanted to have peace for peace day. When I made my flag, I used the techniques tie-dying and sewing. I tried using the sewing machine and hand sewing. I can apply these skills when I have broken clothes, pants, etc.I think that I got 7-10 because I need some help. So next time, I will do everything by myself.






G5 camp

For this week, we went camping and today, I will talk about my experience.

We did a lot of things in this camp. The things I have done before was kayaking, rock climbing and raft building. I mostly did these activities in grade G4 camp. One of the most exciting things I did that I have not done before is using flint and steel.


Getting to use flint and steel was a really fun and a great experience. It was hard at first when I didn’t know how to uses it, but when I got used to it, I started getting sparks. In this experience, I even got to make a fire. If I had more time, I would have practised more to get better.


Going to camp was a great experience. Learning survival skills, being a survivor, etc. was great and I am looking forward to next year’s camp.
