我是怎樣的學習者?

我的人際智能比較,可是我的音樂智能比較弱。

有一次我在一年級的時候,我有我的第一個閲讀報告,我不知道這麼做。老師給我一本書,連忙和我說:『你要讀這本書,不一次上學的時候你要講解這個書說什麼。』回家的時候,我問媽媽怎麼做,她先和我讀書,然後和我講解故事。做完的時候她和去我說:『你要看多些中文書,看書會幫你學多一些字。』

因此,現在我可以自己讀書和我知道很多字。我覺得我是人際智能比較強的學習者。

Newton’s Laws of Motion

This week 4B has been making mind maps from brainpop again and this time we it is about Newton’s Laws of Motion. Isaac Newton is known for his Laws of motion, he has 3 Laws of Motion and they are really important.

 

His first Law of Motion is “An object in motion will stay in motion, and an object in rest will stay at rest unless an unbalanced force acts on it ”. That means an object will keep moving until an unbalanced force acts on the opposite direction to stop it.

 

Newton’s second law of Motion is “ An object that an unbalanced force acting on it will accelerate in the direction of that force.” That means(example) When you are sitting down, gravity is pushing on you and normal force is pushing against gravity, If you go down a hill gravity wins.

 

Newton’s last law of motion is “forces always occur in equal and opposite pairs” That means there are always force pushing in both ways.

My Forces Mind Map

This week 4B started their new unit, this unit is about motion and forces. Lately we had been making mind maps about force and motion, we use BrainPop and the video is called forces. It is about forces like push pull and others…

After the video we made a mind map, we had to use the keywords or we had to put in  other words . A non- contact force is when the force is not touching the object and it is affecting it like gravity, a contact force is something  that  is touching the object and it is affecting it for example push, pull or drag. Acceleration is direction and direction is acceleration. Magnitude is the size of force, velocity changes the speed or direction of an object, Newton’s is a number of force ( the force is unbalanced) and net force is a thing that measures how strong the force is.

Addition and Subtraction Strategies

Today 4B had been finding new Strategies for Addition and Subtraction problems. We could choose to write down Addition ,Subtraction Strategies or both, I chose to do both.

We had write it in your math book, We first had to choose a equation, my equation was 166 + 143 and my Subtraction one was 136 – 20. The Strategy

i used for addition we had to first add 6 and 3 because it is both in the ones place, 6+3=9 .Then we add the tens place which is 6+4=10 so we have to give the one to the hundred place(the one in -› 166) After that the tens will be 0 and then you have to add 1+1+1= 3,the answer is 309.

Now for Subtraction, the strategy I used for Subtraction is Expanded Form. You first have break it up,(136-20) I first broke up 136 to 100+30+6=136, then i broke up 20 to 20+0=20. Later we minus it while it was broken up – (100+30+6)-(20+0)=116. The answer is 116.

   

WELCOME TO MY IFOLIO

Hi! My name is Daphne and this year I am in grade 4B. This is also my first post on my blog.

 

I work better in groups(social) than alone because I need company and sometimes my friends correct my work . Its also a faster way to come up with ideas, you can also learn from your friends. If you are stuck your friend can help.

My favourite subject is Literacy because I like to write journals and write stories with my friends. When I am doing stories and journals I have trouble with spelling and grammar but I am organised.

 

My goals are to be more confident and loud when I am performing ,I read more books so I can learn new words , work on spelling so I spell better and to work on grammar.

 

In this year I am looking forward to learn jazz or hip hop and  camp because I heard camp was fun. I hope that this year will be great.
