Experience Week for 2021/2022
Please stay tuned for more information.

Experience Week is an experiential learning programme during which CDNIS students in grades 6-12 gain valuable insight and rewarding hands-on experience in a variety of settings. Students have opportunities to travel to various destinations in Southeast Asia (including Hong Kong) to engage in activities focusing on service, activity or creativity. Experience Week has run with tremendous success since 2000 and forms an integral part of our Upper School programme (MYP, IBDP, and OSSD) and curriculum. All programmes include some/all of the followingvaluable educational components:

  1. Creativity includes learning and developing talents and skills, designing and implementing service projects, and immersing in the sights, music, food, history, arts and language of a different culture.
  2. Activity includes participation in various physical activities and enhancing physical fitness.
  3. Service involves addressing the genuine needs and examining socialissues of a community and what it means to be a global citizen. The community may be within the school, the local district, or it may exist on national and international levels (such as undertaking projects in a developing country). Service could also be with people or those without a voice such as the environment and animals.
