Cross Country
Cross Country is a Season 2 sport . Open Age Mixed is on offer . Try Out Week is November 4-8, 2019.
Cross Country is a physically challenging sport that attracts over 60 CDNIS runners. They regularly run at Aberdeen Country Park and race at mini meets around Hong Kong. They do so in extremely hot, humid conditions dealing with snakes and pigs, mosquitoes and buffalo.
Practice Information
Practices begin the week after the trials for both Upper School and Lower School. Practices for US are Tue/Thur and Friday. Practices for Lower School are Tue/Thur.
It is important that all athletes bring water to each training session. Buses will depart from level 7 at 2:50 to Aberdeen Country Park. There will then be a bus returning at 4:45 so runners will be able to catch the 5:10-5:20 bus home.
Competitions and Buses
Throughout the season we have a number of Cross Country Competitions. They will all be held at various locations around Hong Kong depending on the hosting school. For bus service, a bus will depart CDNIS and bring all athletes and coaches to the event.
