But most of all, we are proud of the Swim team culture that has been developing this year.
Swimmers are swimming for the team,  encouraging each other, going crazy when swimmers swim PBs, they are proud to swim for their school and they are committed to working hard to improve.  Congratulations.  All of the above can be directly attributed to our awesome group of Swim Coaches who lead this programme.  We are so fortunate to have Coaches Darren, Braedon and Tracie who give so much time, energy, enthusiasm and expertise to the Swim team. Thanks Coaches.

I think junior Swim Team Captain Ryan summed it up nicely with this ….

I would like to congratulate EVERY SINGLE swimmer for doing so well during this competition. Every single swimmer tried their best, and were able to get countless PBs, and many also managed to rack up tons of points for our school (shoutout to Samantha, Anson and Anson!). It is without question that everyone’s hard work and dedication to this demanding sport/team has paid off!

More importantly, I would like to, once again, thank all of our coaches for not only giving us this amazing, once in a lifetime (more like a few but you get the point) opportunity for us, and supporting, encouraging and helping us throughout this trip, but for also dedicating their time for US, not for themselves (no one really WANTS to wake up that early for training).

More importantly, from this trip I am really impressed with our team spirit, our supportiveness, which is really important because even though a lot of the time you swim alone, we are all part of a team. Everyone was very encouraging to one another, which led to the success of our swimmers, given the fact that it was the first SEASAC for many swimmers (younger ones especially).

Great job everyone and I hope that everyone will continue to train even harder for next year!
