Congratulations to our Senior Gymnastics Team who returned this week from SEASAC Gymnastics in Singapore.
Our elite team of Level 5 (Kelsey, Maddy, Larissa and Jasmine) and Level 6 (Christine) performed extremely well at this very competitive meet.
The highlight of the event was Christine’s Bronze on the Uneven Bars, Silver on the Beam and Bronze in the All-around (combined scores). Three Senior SEASAC Medals is amazing, and these are some of the best results for CDNIS at a Senior SEASAC Gymnastics in the last 5 years; they are the result of Christine’s commitment and hard work. Amazing to think she has also had time this year to be a great Volleyball player and Basketballer for CDNIS too! Almost all of the other Level 6 gymnasts at SEASAC would only compete in gymnastics and all would train 10-15 hours per week (like Christine).
Congratulations also to Kelsey who had her best result on the Floor on Day 1, to Maddy who is Grade 6 and performed well in all events in her first Senior SEASAC, to Larissa who had a top 10 on the Floor on Day 2 and to Jasmine who battled illness on Day 1 but showed her strength of character to perform well on Day 2.
Thanks to Coaches Ivy and Michael for leading the team and to Manager Pringle and Retired Gymnast Sharmaine for leading the trip.
