Could this be YOU? Hong Kong Equestrian Federation Interschool EquestrianChallenge Each year more than 20 schools compete in the HKEF interschool competition in dressage and show jumping. This will be the fifth year CDNIS has fielded teams. We have a history of successful participation having been finalists in both the lower and higher divisions. But most of all we want to challenge our riders to advance their riding, support each other and have fun! We are currently seeking applicants to join the squad. Lower division teammembers may be 10 – 14yo and higher division 12 – 16yo on 1 January 2018. Please read the details below. If you think you’re a good fit either you or your parents should contact us and we’ll have a chat. Rider requirements: Applicants must be competent riders attending regular lessons. Riders will be required to complete a preliminary dressage test (including canter components) and execute a round of show jumps. Lower division riders must be able to jump 50cm while higher division riders must jump 80cm and be capable of handling an ex-racehorse. Time commitment: Each team will compete in a heat in March then the top four teams enter finals in April. The sponsors offer mini-comps in Nov-Jan which we will attend. There will be at least one team lesson in both dressage and show jumping on the allocated horses/ponies. Mini-comps, heats and finals take a half day from school. Team lessons are after school.
