INDIRECT ACTION
Actions that benefit the community without working with them face-to-face, including fundraising. e.g. writing & publishing stories as part of Kids4Kids “Writing for a Cause” campaign, even selling them to raise money

ADVOCACY
Speak on behalf of an issue & raise awareness in the community using various media forms.  e.g. create a short video about how to live sustainably with fewer resources

RESEARCH
Conduct investigations, surveys, interviews and report on the issue to influence policy & practice. e.g. interview students about cafeteria food and share summary report with recommendations to CDNIS leadership
