Habitat for Humanity – Project Home Works in Hong Kong

By February 3, 2015GIN & Clubs

Although Hong Kong has a highly developed economy, 1 in 5 people still live in poverty. Project Home Works (PHW), a local project by Habitat for Humanity, gathers volunteers to provide free house cleaning services to the elderly, low income families and disabled people in Hong Kong.

On January 31st, a few upper school students participated in PHW. Students went to two elderly women’s homes in Kwun Tong and helped clean the kitchen and bathroom, and also had an opportunity to bond with them by talking to them and getting to know their lifestyle and background. The experience was truly worthwhile!

The next Project Home Works opportunity is on Saturday, February 14. See our Facebook page for more details about the work HFH does at CDNIS! https://www.facebook.com/hfhcdnis
