Celebrated Australian author Kim Toft will also be visiting CDNIS on March 12 and 13. Kim writes stories with an environmental message and specializes in silk painting to illustrate her beautiful picture books. Her titles One Less Fish and The World We Want are available in our library collection. During her visit, Kim will work with Prep classes as part of their inquiry, How We Express Ourselves, as well as with students in Grade 6 who are inquiring into painting techniques for the PYP exhibition. Kim will be bringing copies of her latest book, Recipe for Perfect Planet Pie (which is currently nominated for a Golden Dragon Award for children’s literature), for purchase.

I’m looking forward to a fantastic month of reading, math and art in the library and around the school!

Happy reading everyone :)
