The Shadow in the Moon
Ms. Christina Matula-Hakli, the author of The Shadow in the Moon: How the Mid-Autumn Festival Began, also a parent at our school, came to read our G2 and G3 students this week. Kids enjoyed her story and asked lots of good questions. We thank Ms Matula-Hakli’s visit to make our kids more connected with the Mid-Autumn Festival, an important day of Chinese culture. There are two copies available for borrowing, one in primary library and the other in junior.
If you would like a copy for home, please visit www.theshadowinthemoon.com or Bookazine. There is also a reading event, along with some colouring and a chance to meet the illustrator, Pearl Law, at Bookazine in Prince’s building at 3pm on Saturday, Sep. 6, 2014.
