What is Art?

  • Art is a way of expressing yourself
  • Art is something that can be viewed from different perspectives
  • Art is something that is described in different ways
  • Art is anything
  • Art is anything you create
  • Art is anything that is used with your 5 senses
  • Everything is art
  • Art is something that shows who you are
  • Art is something you use to show your feeling and ideas
  • Art is beautiful, aesthetic and meaningful

 What is not art?

  • Nothing is not art in the universe
  • Depends on the persons’ opinions or perspective
  • Something that people don’t think is art
  • Something that doesn’t show expression, ideas and feelings
  • Everyone has a different opinion on what art is and what it isn’t
  • Anything that is a noun is art (there is no not art)
  • Anything that does not interest you

 Good art is…

  • Good art is art that expresses clearly your thoughts, feelings etc., so that others understand. For example a lot of times in music you express love and romance.
  • Good art should be viewed in different perspective
  • Good art is chosen by your hearts
  • Good art is something that has lots of details and is attractive
  • Good art can be shown in many ways
  • Good art is something that you like
  • Good art depends on your individual perspective
  • Good art is something that inspires you
  • Good art is something that you think is good
  • Good art is expressive and creative
  • The key to good art is the audience

 Bad art is…

  • Bad art is art without expression or meaning
  • Bad art is un-attractive, un-interesting and boring.  Actually, we don’t think there is such thing as “bad art” because good art is expressing yourself and there isn’t a bad way to express yourself.
  • Bad art is viewed in negative ways; it will not give a attitude / feelings
  • Bad art is something that isn’t clear
  • We don’t believe there is such thing as bad art, but it depends on the person’s individual perspective
  • Bad art is something you don’t think is good in your own perspective

 An artist is…

  • An artist is anybody who expresses himself or herself by creating a variety of art
  • An artist is someone who creates art
  • An artist is a person that feels free to create and express what is inside themselves
  • An artist is someone who enjoys doing or making art
  • An artist is someone with natural talents
  • An artist is someone with unique or new ideas
  • An artist is someone who is good at inventing
  • An artist is a risk-taker
  • An artist is someone that can see art in places where you normally can’t see art
  • An artist can do art in anything and participating
