As we start school again after a long break and in a new year, I’ve got some bad and good news.

The bad news is that Morning Media has come to an end. With over 75 videos, it has been quite a journey. Every morning we either laughed, gasped, questioned, clapped or just remained silent with our own thoughts. It’s been great but time to move on.

The good news is that Morning Media has been replaced with a new project called A Photo a Day (a variation of what we started at the beginning of the year). Photos from the internet, showing images from around the world, will be selected by individual students and shared with the rest of the class. In a way it’s not that different from Morning Media, in that photos are are also a form of media and there is lots of opportunity for students to create the same emotions as the collection of videos did.

Thanks to all our visitors who visited 5E’s Digital Desk to enjoy the morning videos. Please keep visiting the blog to find what the students are sharing on their individual blogs.
