This is what teaching all about….students excited to learn and share their knowledge and skills with others.
Exhibition buzz in the is in the air…planning, questioning, designing, reviewing, revising and rehearsing is what this week has been all about. Students have risen to the challenge to lead their own inquiry and take responsibility for their learning. Communication and collaboration has been the keys to conducting a purposeful and personal investigation.
We look forward to seeing you at your child exhibition, they are all excited to share their experiences with you.
On Wednesday Mrs. Fung and Ms Cahousac lead an information session about how to care for our MacBooks over the summer holiday. Students were given tips on proper care and maintenance to ensure that their computers would be kept safe and be in good condition for their return in August. While some of these tips were well known by students, such as keeping computers away from food and drink, others were new and good to know, such as:
▪ Keep your computer away from the sun and in a cool place
▪ turn off your computer before you clean it
▪ If leaving computer for an extended period (2 months), discharge the battery to 50% before shutting down
For more tips, please visit the Apple site.
We also discussed some of the ways we can keep ourselves safe over the summer when using our computers. We viewed the following videos and had a good conversation about digital responsibility. I encourage all parents to visit the Common Sense Media and join this valuable resource for parents (and teachers!).

From Ms. Parnsalu:
Girls skirt lengths need to be appropriate (2-3 inches from knee) and boys’ pants should not have holes. All shoes should be all black dress shoes. No sneakers permitted.
