The G5/6′s had a great morning revisiting sports day spirit and enthusiasm with a short recap video and individual awards.
MVP’s were G5 – Karissa Poon and Yasmine McLennan each with 3 individual golds, Francesco Tavolato with 3 individual golds G6 – Jemima Bland with 3 individual golds and Jasper Coggins and Gordon Kean each with 1 gold and 1 silver.
We held the G3/4 Sports Day Assembly today and it was great to see all the kids excited and happy, waiting in anticipation of the results. The kids had an opportunity to watch a short video summary of the day and we were pleased to have Coach Ike from TopFlight Academy help hand out medals. Ike and his team had been at CDNIS all week running basketball classes and clinics for students, T-wolves B-Ball teams and coaches.
Most Valuable Athletes for G3 were Ronan French, Isabell Roskell and Mary Sieker and for G4 Gavin Greaton and Julianne Hatton-Henigan.
The Grade 6′s had a great time at camp last week and really enjoyed their action adventure experience that included the “Great Race” (a combination of orienteering, hiking and teamwork), biking, raft-building, rock climbing, caving, baking, campfire BBQ, beach games, etc. Check out the video below. Thursday Nov. 20 is the G1/2 Team Building Day in the large gym. The G1′s will be participating in the morning from approximately 9:20-11:30 and the G2′s in the afternoon from approximately 12:15-2:05.
