Kids in action! G3,G6,G2

by marcsteiner on November 24, 2015

Take a look at the G3 movement compositions to complete our unit on “Structures”. The students incorporated individual and partner balances, utilised a variety of transitions (some quite creative) and strove to make their routines aesthetic. They really enjoyed the many aspects of this UOI and it was great to see the creativity in their movement compositions.

The G6’s are just completing their 1st swim session of the year and have been working on their stroke, breathing and kicking technique for freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. They completed their UOI on racquet sports with doubles and singles tournaments where they had the opportunity to practise their serving, rally and court sense skills as well their understanding of the boundary lines, scoring and rules of play. They also understand that there are some similarities and differences between the different racquet sports.

The Grade 2’s have now completed their PE portion of their UOI “The choices we make.. by completing a short reflection.  They have done quite well in understanding that this UOI is really a lifelong perspective to being healthy and can be practised on a daily basis. They are now engaged in an action adventure/cooperative activities unit.  Check out the video below:
