My name is Edward Polawski and I am the Homeroom Teacher for 3A. This is my third year teaching at CDNIS. Before joining the fantastic Grade 3 team of teachers this year, I worked in Grade 1 as a homeroom teacher. I have been teaching in lower primary for the past 9 years in International Schools in Asia and the Middle East.
I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I received my Bachelor of Arts, Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation, and Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Canada. It was during this time in Northern Ontario that my love and passion for education truly emerged. I was able to focus my undergrad towards experiential education and leadership, which opened my eyes to a whole new world of learning. It is also the place where I met my wonderful wife Sajinda who is also teaching here at CDNIS.
After teachers college I moved to Kuwait where I taught Grade 2 for two years. I then moved to Guangzhou China where I have taught for the past 4 years at Clifford International School and then Utahloy International School respectively as a lower primary classroom teacher and grade level coordinator.
This year, I will be working with Liz Chow. She will be the educational assistant in our classroom. We are very much looking forward to getting to know your child and working together with you to make it an exciting and productive year!
