Chinese Beam Design

In Chinese, the whole grade is creating designs that will be voted to be put on the CCC beams. My design is of a dragon, in between 2 bamboos, next to a Yin Yang. I chose to draw these things because in Chinese culture, the bamboos is the Chinese symbol for strength, due to its fast growth and resilience. I chose the Yin Yang, as it represents balance, as the yin, the dark swirl, is associated with shadows, darkness, and the yang, the light swirl, represents brightness, passion and growth. Also, I chose the dragon as it symbolises auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, typhoons, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck.
