Assessment: Personal iFolio4Learning

 

The purpose of your WordPress iFolio using WordPress as blogging software to to document learning across all subjects as a base for Parent Conferencing discussions and Development of an Innovation Fair project.

 

C: Creating

 

To meet this you are required to create and manage a personal iFolio that includes the following Design Specifications

 

  • MYP Menu with subject listings and content (posts)
  • Tag Cloud with subject tags
  • Feedback through comments (this will be used for Teacher feedback in Design for this project)
  • Engaging Welcome pinned post
  • Appropriate media / snapshots that provide evidence of learning with accompanying explanations
  • Design elements that adhere to Design Principles covered in MYP Design (CARP, Logo, Colour, Typography, Shape, Principles (Simple, Appropriate, Timeless, Memorable, Versatile)

  • makes the solution which partially functions and is adequately presented

  • My iFolio satisfied the basic requirements regarding
    – menu
    – posts (for some subject)
5-6 The student:

  • demonstrates competent technical skills when making the solution
  • makes the solution which functions as intended and is presented appropriately
I have demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding:

  • My iFolio satisfies all the basic requirements
  • The structure is complete
7-8 The student:

  • demonstrates excellent technical skills when making the solution
  • makes the solution which functions as intended and is presented appropriately
I have demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding:

  • My iFolio provides an impressive collection of learning from all subjects
  • Media is used to help explain and extend
  • Feedback comments are obtained

Discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of your IFolio
Strengths:One of my strengths in my ifolio is having all my posts tagged.

My ifolio is very organized and easy to know where everything is.

  • Tag cloud
  • The home and MYP button works

Weakness:

  • I did not have some post categories.
  • Blog is cramped

 

Plan of action to help meet the purpose of your iFolio
  • Add post categories when needed to make my ifolio more organized
  • Make my blog more simple so it’s easier to see
  • Ask friends to comment on my new posts
  • Ask Dr. Turner for feedback on my ifolio.
