I have developed the skills required to perform this music successfully over music this year. Explain…*
I have developed the skills required to perform this music successfully over music this year by practicing at home and on the music class, comparing my work with class and fix what I am doing wrong. I also searched and practiced some songs that I am interested like “7 Years” “Always with me” and “Shape of you” (which it did not worked well).

I demonstrated the application of skills to create a successful piece of music. This is as good as I can get it! Explain… *
I used tonging at the right time and used the right note for the song, I set straight and faced the book when I recorded just like what I learned at class. This is as good as I can get it because I recorded a lot of time and it this was the best one.

I have developed the skills required to perform this music successfully over the first music section. Explain… *
I have developed the skills required to perform this music successfully over the first music section. First skill that I developed was how to sound on clarinet . I learned some fingering that I have to do in clarinet in order to play the song that was given. Second skill that I learned was how to connect the notes. It was challenging to be because the way to connect the notes were so different than recorder. I had searched on this on Youtube, but there were few videos of how to sound not how to connect the notes. So I found some videos that clarinet pros played and tried to play similar. Third thing that I learned was extend the topic I had. As I research more and more, I felt like I wanted to try some famous pop songs. I tried “how far I go”, and it was hard because it had many notes that I could not play. second song that I tried was “7 years” and there was a youtuber who teach how to play “7 years” on clarinet. So I practiced that and spend lot of times, but I did not felt that I am wasting time because it was fun and I felt like I became like a pro clarinet player.

I demonstrated the application of skills to create a successful piece of music. This is as good as I can get it! Explain… *
I demonstrated the application of skills to create a successful piece of music by two ways. The first was practice a lot until you can remember the notes without the book. This was helpful because I got scare while I am recording so I sometimes can not read the book. So, I practiced more and more as I can play without looking at clarinet. I showed how to sound on clarinet by after recording and check my tone with videos at youtube.I showed skill of connecting notes by breathing in right time, tonguing in right time.

Listen or watch your peer’s final recording submission. After listening, read their artistic intention and thought process behind their work. How does what you thought align with theirs? *
We have same thought at what he think about practise and editing. He said that he had to put effort, I think it is important too. I think I also learned more about Garageband which I am strongly agree on his opinion. But, I do not agree on what he said on “I had a strong artistic direction for my final musical audio recording”. He said that he had got comments and I felt good, but I think people wrote him some comments that could be improved, so my wonder is why didn’t he improve more before he felt good and completed?

What interesting, different, or exciting elements did they use that you would be incorporate into yours next time round? *
In his song, the mood was peaceful, more than I did even though I put a lot of effort on it. I want to add that kind of mood next time. I also want to get more feedback before I submit. Because this form is my first feedback and Cameron will going to give be the first feedback, I think that if I got the feedback faster, I may could improved them.

Did the context of the song change through their interpretation? *
Maybe because in the interpretation, it said that he asked Mr.O.Toole and classmate, put a lot of effort in to it and I can see the change that I got from the beginning of the unit and a lot of improvement. But I feel like he could do more better on his recording by editing the recording. I could not see that he had edited some in his text, I think he could be better, but this recording was better than I thought.

Through the process of learning Ukulele skills and working through Garageband I learned musical terms/definitions. Discuss. *
I learned musical terms and definitions. For example beat, I thought that beat was like the mood of sound on music but I learned that there is many kind of beats and speed (eg- 4/4 80) I recorded as 80 and I did not knew the difference between 80 and 120 and I thought that this was same, but I now know the difference and what way do I have to strum by the given beat. I also learned that the Garageband had many skills that I could edit my music by command t and erase part that I did wrong and record it again.

How were your decisions on your final arrangement informed by the formative unit work? *
In class, I found that amazing grace was famous song but does not sound good to be. So I choose to play au clair de la lune. I had hard time finding good strum way by 4/4 beat but the code changes at 2/4. I tried the strum that I got used in to it by playing guitar, but it did not work. So I have to find other way to strum. At that time, we played pop song at class which is showing how to play that song, so I used the similar strum and solved the problem. Another thing that I informed was that In amazing grace, there is G code that was making people hard to play. So I thought that the song that I had chose was more easier. I also learned how to play some notes on ukulele by hearing the sound that Mr. O. Toole sound and comparing my sound.

Music is communication, music is compromise, music requires discipline, music means collaboration. Discuss in relation to your work. *
Communication – because in music, there should be the mood that I want to give it to person who is listening by the speed, tone and the way to play. Drum was part of it too because my first drum beat was fast, but after recording, I knew that slow beat will be better because song that I selected was more like peaceful and slow, I had to think about communication which was big part of music. Compromise- I had to compromise on the part that I had to give up because I could not do something that I wanted to do because of the skills I had. But it was hard to give up something because it felt like my music will not going to be sound good if I give up this. So what I did was do something else that is similar but easier Discipline – because in my work, some sound were shown of because it’s tone, but I had to control it so that even though that I like that sound, I had to erase the sound and record it again in order to make organised and good music. And I had to plan and follow the plan so I think Discipline was important too. Collaboration because I had recored many types of strum and notes, and it was hard to collaborate all the sounds well because some of my sound had more faster mood and some had more slower, I had to take the sound again until I record the mood that I wanted.

I had a strong artistic direction for my final musical audio recording. Discuss. *
I added Uku 1 and 2 to sound more better and give more peaceful and giver the mood that sound is working together to make a sound. I also added the drum to give happy but not to exciting. I played ukulele in normal beat so that I do not give the sad mood but not give too excited mood. My singing wasn’t to fast and it wasn’t in high tone because so that I can give the peaceful mood.

I enjoyed this unit very much. My favourite parts were…
Playing pop songs by ukulele. Because it made me feel like I am playing famous song.

I did not enjoy this unit. The elements that contributed to my lack of enjoyment were…
Because for clarinet, I thought we could do more harder ones, but we only did #29 for like 2 weeks

After completing this unit I think that there could be improvements. I feel…
I could play clarinet and ukulele better.
