Laser Beam

Laser Beam

A laser beam is a light that are more powerful than flashlights. They can cut through a transition metal like titanium and what’s really cool about lasers is the fact that was used on James Bond in one of his movies. Now this is also funny about lasers, imagine you sitting on a rocking chair, then you rock back and forth. As you do that, the rocking gets faster and longer and same goes with light waves which keeps adding more energy to become stronger for the  laser beam. A laser beam also has a monochromatic light which is a light with different colours. Mostly it’s red or green but sometimes it can be different or sometimes even transparent/invisible.

Our class had a unit called How We Organize Ourselves. The central idea was being organized empowers us to take actions more effectively. This meant being organized effects you in a good way that is taking more åctions. What empowers people to take actions is that being organized helps you more effectively than being disorganized. When disorganized, you may not be very interested in learning and while the teacher is talking you attend to sleep or argue with the teacher. Decisions of an irresponsible person would decide to make roles that everyone disagrees too. The roles would probably be others doing the work or the irresponsible person doing a little bit of work and maybe demanding to hurry. A responsible person though would make equal decisions and play fair to the others.

¶2 (CO-OPS)

The 300 largest co-ops make more than 2trillion dollars. A co-op is 2 or more companies working together in a group.

Last 3 weeks, we had started our TwoPresents “present”ation. I was in the group that was supporting the charity WWF(World Wide Fund) it was a charity that supports animals. This charity helps animals be protected from hunters or if they need food and water. I think we can improve by cooperating better and agreeing with each other’s ideas. Our leader (not going to say the name) was very bossy and if we had a good idea and he disagreed to it even though more people want to have it he will just say”I’m the leader” “you must listen to me”.

Peace flag post

Peace flag. I liked this project 6/10. I made this for international piece day I drew pictures, sewed, and also made lots of colours. The best thing was that you could decorate your piece flag with anything you wanted to. One of my techniques I used was that I =the sewing machine which was a lot easier. The sewing machine also had lot of options how and what decoration do you want to sew. I decided to use the sewing machine for my ying-yang. I loved this project it was very interesting. I hope we could do this in the future tense.

Camp (kayaking)

The grade 5’s were away at camp from October11-13. There were lots of team building activities like Raft building, Kayaking, The invisible maze, and Jumping off piers. The activity that I enjoyed and learned from most was kayaking. I enjoyed kayaking because kayaking was centered around a game where we all got to pick a country we represent. The aim of the game was to tag as many people as possible and get them on your team. My challenge was that I did not turn the way other people turned since all of the people just let the waves turn them and I used my pedal to turn which made me think I was using the wrong technique. So I decided to use the other technique but when I tried it out I figured that my technique was easier for me. I look forward to kayaking in the future
