Only 3 words that explain camp, exciting, fun, and interesting. <——- Camp was interesting. On the first day, we stayed in the Dynasty Hotel. It was a pretty good hotel, and we had 2 rooms. One was the living room, and one was the bed room with 2 queen beds! Usually there are twin beds. We learned how to do Chinese painting, and after that we went to do market observations, and we asked shopkeepers some questions. For dinner we had pizza, but it was cold! EWW!
The next day we woke up at 7:00 and had breakfast which I didn’t really like (except for the watermelons). We went to the seven stars place thing, to do the Amazing Race! We were put into groups and we each got nine photos. We had to find those places and click a picture with our group members in it. It looked like a few groups were stalking us and following us, but it actually was that they were going the same ways as us, but they might have been following us. My group was the second group to finish. Also, in the borders there were dragonfly members and they would give us challenges. Later on that day, we did ink stone. It is a very soft and expensive stone. We got to do our drafts, and then our final. We used sharp metal sticks. We also got to go to a gallery which has ink stones. We wrote down observations, and then went back to the hotel. We got our luggages and took the bus to the pier. From there we took a boat, and headed off to Nine Dragons Resort. At first when I saw it, I hated it! When I went in the rooms, there were 2 beds in a small room. The bathroom……WAS HORRIBLE! Well actually it wasn’t that bad but it was HORRIBLE for me:) We got free time so almost everyone played outside in the garden. We had dinner and the food was all chinese. I didn’t really like it, but some things were pretty good. We had the dragonfly challenge. We had to make a team name, song, silly walk, human sculpture, best dressed, and more. Then afterwards we all went to bed.
On day 3, there were more activities then any other day. We did catapult building and shot water balloons at the teachers. Then we learned how to make fire (but we all had to cheat and use a lighter). We also had banana boats, which is chocolate in bananas which turn out to be really good. Everyone came to the resort to have lunch, then back to activities. Next, my group did the canyon hike. It was really pretty while doing the hike. Also there was a snake in the way, so Kevin (dragonfly leader) somehow got it down in the water then it swam into a hole. Before the snake swam away, Ms .Chen and Brendon got a shovel and a broom so the snake would go away. We continued, and in the end we had to climb up so many stairs! I estimate at least 80 stairs. After the hike, we reached a sandy place on top of the mountain. There we did our team building. Camp was really fun!!:)
