Today, 5D was full of lessons about nutrition, body systems and plans connected to healthy eating.

First off, we went to a guest speaker in the library¬† pit, she was a nutritionist and talked about healthy eating. She said our bodies don’t need sugar at all! 95% of chronic disease is caused by our food choice, healthy food is natural with little processing. Micronutrients include protein, carbohydrates and fats. Processed foods are foods that have been altered in some way and are added with fats, sugar or salt to keep from going bad.

After, Ms Miller told us the day before CNY holiday, we would be going to the supermarket and buy ingredients to make what we think is a healthy meal. In class
