Where would you fall on the stress and learning graph?

I think that I would fall on the 3 on the stress and learning graph because I wasn’t too stressed but I wasn’t too relaxed so I was in the middle. Although I did get a bit stressed the night before the test and stayed up late to study.

What was chllenging about this unit, what was easy?

I think that the easy thing about this unit was probably multiplying fractions because it was just like multiplying normally. I think that  the most challenging thing in this unit was putting things on number lines because I would have to squash everything in and then I would make mistakes.

How was your effort in class and at home reflected in you assessment results?

I studied at home a lot and I did all the classwork necessary but I still did not get a mark that high. I am not really sure how this happened…maybe I stayed up too late studying and did not get that much sleep.

What activities did you like in this unit?

I liked working in pairs because if you didn’t know something they could explain it to you instead of having to work it out by yourself because that is what we do when we do homework because we mark our own work.

My habits

February 6, 2013

I think that the habit that I do well is to “Seek First then be Understood” this means that I will listen to others before saying what I need to say. A bad habit that I see myself falling into all the time is to “Put First Things Last”. This means that for example homework, [...]

In maths we were doing a unit on patterns and learning how patterns grow and how they can change and how to figure out formulas to find the pattern. The thing that I liked most about the patterns unit was learning how to figure out the patterns with an input (x) and output (y) table. [...]

The Earth Quake in China

September 17, 2012

I think that if we had to use community service for this issue then some good ideas might be to: 1. Donate money to build buildings that an withstand an earthquake with a magnitude of 7-8. 2. Start an organization for people to donate food. 3. Get people who have spare bedrooms in their house [...]
