SLLR

We spent a most enjoyable morning playing games and experiencing how Emerie obtains knowledge.  She structured the learning review in a fun and interactive manner.  She presented each subject as a game or activity where we were able to see and learn about the topics and units she is studying.  It was fun to experience her interpretations of her learning and take part in her classroom activities.

Emerie seems to learn by experience and interaction.  She is very hands-on and kinesthetic, so “doing” rather than listening or seeing is a strength of hers.  We enjoyed how creative her learning games and activities were.  They were very engaging, and we had a fun time taking part in the SLLR.

We were very surprised to see how much Chinese she is able to see, understand and recognize.  We were not able to play this game because neither one of us recognizes or understands the symbols.

We would like Emerie to continue working on the Chinese and French.  We have seen great improvements in both areas, and our biggest regret is that we are not multi-lingual.  We hope she continues to embrace learning languages and about the world around her.
