Color Activity

For two periods after recess, Ms Fenton brought around a hat with three different color cubes: Red, Yellow, and Blue. The whole purpose of this activity was to tune in to our new unit: Sharing the Planet. When I picked out of the hat I got yellow. Then Ms Fenton gave all the yellows, blues, and reds a different set of directions. The yellows had to complete some tasks like, find in the newspaper 20 words that relate to the unit, make one sentence for each word, make a word search for the 20 words, a math worksheet, and a reading comprehension while getting bossed around by the reds and the blues. The projects that we had to do were really fun and the blues mostly took advantage of us. They asked me and Ella (who as also a yellow) to get newspaper for them, put the newspaper back, sharpen their pencil, get a pencil and eraser for them, get paper for them, etc. Ella and I finished all our tasks except for the little part at the end of the reading comprehension. Ella and I were totally taken advantage from Hannah and some of the boys. ;) They got annoyed when I didn’t bring them the right thing. It was really fun being a yellow because the blues and the reds bossed us around which was a lot of fun and the tasks were great too! ;)
