Recent footage from the Cassini satellite show that giant snowballs are crashing into the planet Saturn’s outer ring. These icy objects are half a mile wide. They are created by the gravity of the moon Prometheus pushing them together. Until now scientists didn’t know where these giant snowballs went. Saturn’s outermost or ‘F’ ring is the weirdest, according to one of the scientists that are working on the Cassini project. It has objects ranging in size from a half a mile to 100 miles! The Cassini spacecraft is the most advanced probe to be put in space and is currently on a mission to Saturn.
I think this shows causation, as these giant snow balls are made by gravity by one of Saturn’s moons, then are wrenched in by Saturn’s gravity, then smash through one of Saturn’s rings.
Anyone for a snowball fight in space?
