Bubbl.us

by 100083 on May 27, 2013

Today another one of our task was to create a bubbl.us about how bubbl.us can help us become better learners. I think that it is very fast to use so you can create one in a short ammout of time, I think that since there are no adds people will not get of topic and I think that it helps organize our work in a way that is easy to read.

If you would like more information view my bubbl.us:

In class today we have had any tasks to complete, one of them was to create a mythical creature. I chose to create 2, a Blunicorn and a Starclopse.

The Blunicorn is a unicorn that is all blue. There are many shades of it but no other colours. It is unique because it is not like all other unicorns, it has majical powers. It can heal the wounded, it can speak any language, it can change people with it’s beauty and it can also do everything that regular unicorns can do. This will impact humankind because their powers can also help humankind, not only themselves.

The Starclopse is a Cyclops with a star eye. It has a purple/pink head, a scribbled stomach and swirly feet. The stomach represents sadness, peoples minds and feelings get jumbled up. Its eye can change peoples perspective and it’s arms can feel sadness and can transport him to people feeling down so he can lighten their mood. This can help humans because everyone has sad days that need to be brightened.

The First Week Of Grade 6…..

by 100083 on August 24, 2012

We just finished our first week of grade 6… It was AWESOME!!!

We got to know Miss. Kinsinger through a presentation, and the rest of the class through 60 seconds in the spotlight, a game where when you get your name pulled out of the lucky sticks cup you would have to stand up in front of the class and talk about you. You could say things about your summer, your family, your age, your favourites, etc…

My favourite activities we did are:

Create a project about your knowledge of ” Inquiry “. It sound quite easy, but we couldn’t make it word based, so it had to be an art piece. I got pictures of researching, predictions, questions and experimenting and glued them around the word ” inquiry ” on a blue sheet of paper. I think I did well but I know that there are ways I could of made it better, like making it more colourfull or have less words on it.

Mini activities. Miss. Kinsinger likes to tell stories to she has read three books to us, Squids will be Squids, It’s A Beautiful World and Do Unto Otters. Musical Mondays, when we play songs we like, or funny music videos to the class, Miss. Kinsinger showed us a Cookie Monster call me maybe remix… And Friday Funnies, where we tell jokes to the class. Also we created our puzzle, where we created  puzzle pieces then put it together and it created 6E.

This has been an AMAZING week and I cant wait till the second week of G6!!!!

The Hunger Games – Reading Reflection

by 100083 on May 10, 2012

This week I have been reading The Hunger Games.

The hunger games is a story that is a HUGE hit in the world right now! It is about a girl called Katness who takes her sisters place in the hunger games, a tournament where the last man alive wins fortune and fame. She has to hight against many contestants from the different districts and she will have to fight till death.

I really like this book because it keeps you waiting because you want to know what is going to happen and also because there is such a good storyboard that it makes you want to read it doesn’t just boar you.

At the part of the book I am at my favorite character is Cinna because he is really cool and not weird and crazy like everyone else in the capital.

You should really read this book because it is an AMAZINGGGG story.

My PSA – Article 20

by 100083 on May 4, 2012

We have been doing a unit of inquiry about child rights and in this unit we made PSAs ( Public Serviece Announcements ) about one child right.

Every child has a lot of different rights to protect their safety, health, and many more things that a child needs. A few examples of rights are The Right To An Education, The Right To Special Care And Help If You Cannot Live With Your Parents, and The Right To Be Alive! We all have these rights but some people dont know about them or get them.

I chose to do mine about Article 20, You have the right to special care and help if you cannot live with your parents. I chose to do this article because I think that since I live in a nice house and an amazing family that I should search why other children have to live all alone, on the streets or worse!

Donate money to UNICEF or do anything you can.

Help the children get their rights back today!!!

This Week I have Been Reading The Mysterious Benedict Society: Mr. Benedict’s Book of Perplexing Puzzles, Elusive Enigmas, and
Curious Conundrums. I have read this book and solved a few of the puzzles before but I just got it and started solving again!
This book is an extra book from a series, it is the puzzle book! In this book there are loads of puzzles waiting to be solved!!
Two of the things that I really like about the book is that it if fun to read and the second thing is because I really like the series and it makes my mind work!
The one and only thing that I don’t like is that some of the puzzles are so hard that you need to look at the back at the hints that actually almost give it all away.
If you are looking for a book if mind bending puzzles, get this book!
