What a trip! . During the trip we did a bunch of activities we kayaked, hiked, shot archery, climbed, cooked Thai food and plenty of other activies.

If I had to describe my self during the trip with two learneer profiles then I would have ben reflective and a risk-taker. I think that I was reflective because everyday before lgihts out I wrote a reflection on the activitirs of the day. I think that I was a risk-taker because I was the firest person in my group who tried to start communicating with the kids that we played with.

One challenge I had during the trip was trying to communicate and play with the kids. I solved this by slowly starting out with basic games that the kids know like duck duck goose and them moved on to more complicated games like checkers, checker was realy fun playing because they played on a reguler checker oard but instead of using chips we used stones. The kids actually had realy good memory because even at the end of the game when all of our stonese were in different parts of the board they could still remember who’s’ rocks where who’s’.

I think this trip helped me grow in a way because that was a whole week with looking at any digital screens It was actually really fun not using computers, but it was weird because I usually spend half the day looking at screens and that was a whole week with out looking at any screens. I think I grew because now since I am back in Hong Knong I don’t think i will be using my computer as much any more.

My job was a lawyer for the prosecution side. I think that I fulfilled my responsibly as a lawyer because I helped organize our arguements and write the opening speech. No, I would not volunteer for another role because I think lawyer was the only job that you could talk and act about what you thought. I didn’t learn anything ne about KMT. I think I improved as a scientist during the investigation but not the trials. I think this because during the investigation I did about experiments making me much better at following and documenting the proper experiment.

Where would you fall on the stress and learning graph? Why?

Around 3 because for most of the unit I would have en at around 2 because I was concerned and I did feel less stress then all of the other units but a week or so before the test I got really stressed because I realized that I had forgotten a lot of things about the relationship between fractions and decimals. So having the two and the four would average my stress level to around four.

What was challenging about this unit? What was easy?

The most chalenging part for m was to learn how to properly divide decimals by making the divivdent a whole number.

The most easy part I think was the fractions because we had learned them before.

How was your effort in class and at home reflected in assessment results?

I think that in the first half of the unit I did not take it seriously as I should have because later in the unit I realized that I did not know most of what I shoukld have known.

What activities did you like in this unit?

My favorite activity was learning about pi because we briefly learned a little about pi in grade five which left me with a lot of questions that I answered in this unit.

Because my group has 3 members we decided we would each research from one source and then put all of our findings together on our google docs. I wen to News bank which is a sight were users can access every current and past newspapers from all countries I learned that in 2010 the secretary of the Anglican church ordered that the The secretary of Anglican church started to discuss plans to tear down parts of a landmark stone wall. During the development of a new church in Tsim Tsa Tsui.

Sheng Kung Hui disagreed with the Idea and created a petition against the church.

As part of inquiring and analyzing my group have came up with some questions. The questions below are the questions that I think I will need to research during this investigation. These may not necessarily be the questions that I answer because I have found that in the middle of investigations my questions have changed because once I learn more about my topic the areas that I think are important change.

Now I get how people can have good habits like studying a lot but then a bad habit of not doing enough sports. After thinking a lot about my habits are I have found that some habits that are good create bad habits. For example someone who excersizing a lot may not necessarily have a lot of time to study. In conclusion habits are really important to think about.

The best thing about this unit is that I have never actually learned this much about Math in a unit. For example making patterns in graphs, input output tables and how to write equations with inputs and outputs. Learning about inputs and outputs can really help us in life because in every single assessment we had where real life questions that we will need to answer in our life. I still want to learn more about solving inputs and outputs that have exponents because I could not answer a few of those type of questions on the final assessment.

Here is an example of a task from the unit

I like how my bird looks like it is on a branch because I stuck a brown piece of cardboard from behind and my bird is resting on it. I also like how the fake lake looks pretty realistic compared to just using blue paper. The two maine problems were that my model can not be moved because the bird is only standing on two sate sticks and if it moved it would just fall. Also my background should not just be a few trees because it is a forest so it should have a lot of green behind the trees.

For this project I started off working a lot during recess and at home. After the first couple of days I stopped working on it as much because I thought I was ahead which I was, but because I am really slow at art at had to rush in the last class to paint.
