For one whole week, I went to Chiangmai with classmates from CDNIS. In Chiangmai we did many things such as jungle survival, kayaking and archery. On this trip, I think that I displayed several learner profile attributes. One of these attributes was being a risk taker. I was a risk taker because during many of the activities I was putting myself outside of my comfort zone. For example, in the confidence course I had to try to go through many obstacles that I had never gone through before such as walking on a balance beam. On this trip, I was also open minded. I was open minded because during our team technologies I was able to listen to my partners ideas and try to use that in our building.
On this trip, I was away from home for about a week. In that time, I discovered that I was a really effective leader and I was able to try and lead my classmates to success. I did this by helping them out with issues that they had and during activities I tried to help them succeed. Although I already appreciated nature around the world, this trip let me experience it in a whole other way. I got to see amazing views from hilltops and jungles. One of my strengths in one of the activities I did was archery. I had a pretty consistent shot after I warmed up and I was able to hit it near the gold or in the gold almost every single time. I had experience with archery at my summer camp Kilcoo, so I was able to use that to my advantage.
