Hi guys, I am sorry that I didn’t write for a long time. Anyway, we are learning about operations of fractions right. When we finished learning about how to divide fractions, Ms. K told us to make a video teaching 5th graders how to divide fractions. after a few hard working day I finally finish! Enjoy!
After I finished the video I wrote a piece reflecting on my work. If you want to read it, here it is!
For the project we only had about 5-6 periods in total to finish video, so I think that you need a lot of time management to finish the project. I think that I did really well in the time-management department. I was working there wasn’t a lot of distractions so I was really focus and had a lot done at school. In the project I first had to plan (That includes writing the script), and then I have to get all the equipment I need to film. After that I had to finish filming at school because I couldn’t bring the cameras back home. When I finish the filming and got back home I had to do the voice over and the final editing.
In the task a lot of things went well, I finished my plan in about a period and had Ms. Kinsinger check it. Luckily there was only one camera left so I took it. When a good thing was that I didn’t have a lot of technical difficulties, so I didn’t waste a lot of time figuring out fixing my computer. In the task one thing that really annoyed me was the filming part. It was really hard to write nicely because the whiteboard was facing a different, so basically I had to write upside down. Another really irritating part of the video was the 50 frames rule. Because there was a few times when I was in a middle of the scene and I ran out of frames. That cost me a lot of time because every time I have to adjust the camera to make it t opposition it was last time.
If I had to do the video again I would try to find a way to have better had writing so my audiences would have an easier time understanding the video. I would also keep an eye on the number of frames I have left so I would save a lot of time.
