Yesterday we started a new unit about geometry. We concentrated on polygon, in that one day I already learned a lot by doing the activities we did. Like the Greedy triangle book that Mr.Macpherson read to us, or the videos and songs we watched in the internet. I learned a lot of polygon vocabulary, For example the names of the polygons and how to sort and classify the different of kinds of polygon.
I think that this unit really good for me because I pretty much forgot about geometry except for calculations of shapes and area. So I think that this unit would be really good review and I could also learn a lot of new things. I bet that in this unit we would do a lot of activities that is very fun and cool.Plus there is also a lot of new words for my spelling words so I won’t have to search to wall for a long time.
The question I have is how much stuff you can learn about polygons.Because yesterday we already learned a lot of stuff so I wonder how long this unit is going to be.I would also want learn how to calculate the area of a polygon learn more shapes.Like parallelograms, triangles and lot a lot of other stuff.
