National Treasure

Welcome back everyone! In class, we watched a movie called National Treasure. The movie is related to our Unit Of Inquiry, which was “Where We Are In Place And Time”. Our UOI (Unit Of Inquiry) is mostly about important events that happened in history and different perspectives/views of different historical people.This movie is historical fiction (fiction,but includes real events that happened in history).National Treasure is a very funny and catchy movie that I strongly recommend you to watch. In my point of view its one of the best movies ever, including action-packed scenes, different interesting events and an unthinkable ending. All the characters in this fascinating movie have different points of view and only watching this movie can you discover them.

The main character, Benjamin Franklin Gates, is inspired by a treasure that his grandfather told him about it. This Gates family has been looking for this “Treasure” for generations, even though Ben’s gruff father calls it “Fool’s Gold”. Ben puts up his courage and prepares to look for the treasure himself. In order to find the treasure, they have to look for a bundle of clues. He takes a team to look for the clues but a traitor is in the mist. The clue they first find is “The secret lies with Charlotte”. He teams up with Riley, a honest and sarcastic person who didn’t betray Benjamin.

They keep on the pursue in finding the treasure before Ian, the main villain in the movie and the traitor to Ben, finds the treasure and puts it to brutal use. Can Ben and Riley stop him? Could they have new allies trying to find the treasure? Who knows? This movie is very interesting and fun, ranging from new discoveries to challenges. Are you a scientific person who loves adventures? If you are, I  bet you would love this movie. We Grade 5s really enjoyed this movie and we hope you do, too! Happy treasure hunt!
