This week, I started reading a book called Goal. This book is about a Mexican boy that lives in Los Angeles named Santiago playing against a Croatian team and former Newcastle’s (one of England’s soccer team) scout watches on his game. The scout named Glen Foy really likes his play and invites him to come over to Newcastle for a tryout on the team. Santiago can’t believe it and saves money to goes to the city. I am really interested in this part because I want to become a baseball player in the MLB, and he wants to become a soccer player in England and he got the opportunity, so I feel really exciting myself when reading.
What I really like in this book is the scout Glen Foy is curious in young talent and always goes around looking for players. I felt that Santiago was lucky but he would pass the tryout with his skills. When he arrived in England and did the tryout, he had not done well in the practice match because he wasn’t used to the ground condition in England and also the rough play compared to where he played in Los Angeles. I felt sorry for him because that was his only day in his tryout so far, but as I keep reading this book, I hope the scout and managers will give him one more try so that he can pass it. I felt that Santiago was a person that never gave up and always wanted to try things, so I liked his personality.
I would like to continue reading this book because I like the events that have happened so far.

I like how you told what you like about the book and how you felt. I also like how you wrote what personalities you like about the characters. You could have put in an image about the cover
