Today was very special day as we missed many of our lessons to walk down to the sports arena to take part in the official alan dick memorial walk! It was where we all did laps around the stadium accompanied by music and our teachers entertainment. I thought it was quite fun to just get to walk around with my friends and remember Mr Dick, our former lower school head-master. I didn’t know him too well for I was still a new student but I did have one encounter with him when I had my school interview and he came and shook my hand. Even though I didn’t know him all too well, I could tell he was a really nice person and I miss his presence in assembly’s. This walk was in honour of him and his great attitude towards learning.
Anyway, I had fun walking the laps and in the time given, we walked 15 1/2 laps! It may not seem like much but it was! We all danced along to the music crazily and had a great time. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves altogether! The walk was fun to do and we all had a great time. We all remembered Mr Dick and celebrated his spirit.
Here is a video my teacher made that really captured the essence of the day!
