Tolerance: Reflection 7~11 of November

This week we started the unit, How We Organize Ourselves. We did many interesting activities today. The grade 6 students set up markets as a pre-assessment for this unit. But the main point was to earn money for a charity called, World Vision. Every classes goal was $2,500. I think it really helped us actually experience markets. I really enjoyed selling things to other people can realized that it is a really hard business. Our group did a bake sale as you know from my last post I put up asking you about the kinds you like. Our group earned HK$583 dollars. I was pretty impressed with what our group earned because I never expected to make so much money. Also on Wednesday we had a special author named Jack Gantos. He did a small presentation for us about his life and writing. I was really interesting to listen because he added humor while he was talking. I found it a bit too dramatic sometimes when he was telling his own experiences.

For the things we did this week, we had to be tolerant. Being tolerant means to be open-minded about things even when you are not used to it or never experienced it before. Doing a bake sale was a whole new thing for me but I tried my best and we turned out pretty good. Overall, I had so much fun this week! :)
