My LAST week in CDNIS

by 084388 on December 12, 2011

Unexpected things can happen at unexpected times. Some are good and some can be bad. Some can make you sob, some can make you shriek of joy. But right here, right now it isn’t much of a good thing for me.

Oh… I can’t believe its already time. I’ve been here since Grade 3 and now its my time to leave. Friday will be my last day in CDNIS. The packing and boxes and everything. NO! I don’t want to leave! I’ll miss everyone so much. I’ve learned so much, I’ve meet so many people, I’ve been influenced by people, people have touched my heart, people have made me cry but all through this experience, I’ve learned so many life lessons, of course academic ones too. :) It sucks for me again because I never get to graduate. In Korea, I left when I was at the end of my year of Kindergarten and now I have to leave Hong Kong 6 months before PYP/Grade 6 graduation. I mean I have graduated Kindergarten in Hong Kong but I didn’t even start the semester from the beginning. But especially in CDNIS I learned new things and found new feelings I’ve never felt before influenced from people. I got new experiences I never would have if I wasn’t here. Getting to go to a new place and live there and make it “my home” is just a really good chance to explore new stuff. And from being in Hong Kong and CDNIS just made me realize who I am and who I want to be.

Okay, pause here. I’ve always thought I got a bit cheesy everytime I tried to express my feelings. But anyways, I just really enjoyed being in CDNIS and this has been such an incredible chance for me to get to know new things. I promise I will never forget these 3 and a half years in CDNIS. Sigh… I’ll miss everyone so much! <3

Weekly Reflection: 5~9 December

by 084388 on December 9, 2011

This week was such a busy week but went by so fast! We did our summative assessment, worked more on our math, did some Christmas related activities. We had 3 math tests related to fractions, decimals and percentages. The junior choir, which I am a part of has done some performances too. I think I was balanced, thinker and risk-taker this week. I was balanced because I evenly used my time to do different things. I also had be to a thinker when I did those activities, especially the summative assessment so I could get it done well and in time. I was also a risk-taker because I did some things differently than normal or uniquely so I could experience new things. Overall, It was a busy week but I’m very happy about it.
