Weekly Blog Post

Hello!

This week, I did a lot of geyser research and am working on a SAM. (SAM stands for Stop-Motion-Animation) The SAM has to relate to our Landform and explain how it works, how it changes, how is formed and how it affects the world around it. There are a whole lot of groups to choose from and they are Volcanoes, Peninsula, Geysers/Hot Springs (the one I chose), Ocean Trenches and Valleys. We used Brain POP to find out some of our information. Emerie is doing Ocean Trenches and Ella is doing Valleys. I will paste my final SAM product once it is finished on another post.

As well as working on Landforms, our class also made parts of an iMovie to paste on our Global Hello Page . My Group, which is made up of Emerie, Chance and me are doing Trophies and sports teams. We have just finished on Wednesday and is waiting for the other groups and Ms. Fenton to put together the final product so we can show other schools how it is to be in CDNIS HK. The 5B Bosses have also joined the Global Hello Project and we feel happy that they joined but also worried because we signed up as CDNIS and they signed up as 5B Bosses, CDNIS and I feel that it might be less confusing if we shared a page to represent the school.

Tomorrow is the school’s Anniversary Ball and the Choir has been chosen to perform in it. The Ball will take place at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. We are wearing red “flapper dresses” and I am nervous for tomorrow.

On Monday, I have my first Music Composition and the second Music Competition will take place in March. I am singing 綠色的小雨. It has 2 verses and a lot of chinese words and I am really nervous for Monday.

Overall, this week was both tiring and exciting and I can’t wait for next week, especially Monday at PE (we are doing gymnastics and I really need to work on my cart wheels unlike my sister who is going to a gymnastics competition in Bangkok)! See you next week and have a wonderful holiday!
