Dad: After going thru demonstration of today provided by Adrian, I really enjoy the game that he made, and it seems that he had learnt a great deal in class.

Mom: I have learnt some numbers in french it was a  fun day, and Adrian needs more practice on his trombone.

Adrian: Preparing for the SLLR’s helped me gather a better understanding of myself as a learner, because while I was preparing I found my strength along with my weakness in each specific topic. The most challenging part of the SLLR’s is having the confidence to talk about my own learning in front of my parents, it was challenging because we don’t do this activity often and it also brings pressure. If I could do this again I would like to have a even longer amount of time, so I could have even practice with more of my classmates. My favorite part of the SLLR’s was the P.E. monopoly game, this was my favorite activity because in the middle of the game my 2 brothers joined in too.

This is the reflection of the week, in this reflection there will be 1 attitude and 1 attribute I will mention, I will also say when have I shown the attitude or attribute.

During this week the 1 attitude and 1 attribute I have worked on is inquirer and independence, I have shown being an inquirer, being an inquirer is always being curious and asking a lot of question. During the week I was constantly asking detailed question about the summative assessment. I was being independent student, when I chose to work by myself when others are busy working, I even worked on the summative assessment as a project outside of the homework.

Next week I would like to work on being balanced and also having more creativity in my work, this is because I want to be balanced in my homework situation, I would like to spend an equal amount of time in both chinese homework and class homework. I also want to have more creativity in my work because all the work I have done has really little creativity, for example, no colors, no photo, only words.

This is the reflection of the week, in this reflection there will be 2 attitudes or attribute mentioned.

During this week the 2 attribute I have worked on is open-minded and principled, I have shown open- mindedness when I was not disturbing others during class, that means that I not only care for myself but also others too. I also have shown being principled when I choose to work by myself when others are working together, I think that it was being principled because it was the right thing to do and it also help me to concentrate better.

Next week I would like to work on being balanced and also an inquirer, this is because I want to be even better at spreading my work and games equally. Also I want to be more curious and ask more questions.

I’ve shown the attribute Risk- Taker, because when no one wanted to do the interviewer job or the interviewee job. Joey and I stood up and tried it even though we did no get the job done in the end. The second attribute I have shown during the week is Inquirer, I have asked many questions during the week and some were not as constructive as others.

But the two Attributes I really want to work is being principled, because there was times when I have really changed a lot the way how I distract my group. So if I always try to do the right things at a right time that will really help me out. The second attitude I would like to work on is being more open- minded because when I distract other people in my group it will not only affect my learning, but also affect how other students learn. So I will also try to work on not distracting others by focusing myself.

Action:

I will work on not to distract others by concentrating on whomever is talking.

This is a reflection is about how I have shown any attitude or attribute of the PYP along the week.

During this week I have shown the attitude “Enthusiasm” The meaning of this attitude is to enjoy learning and willingly to put effort in to my learning. I have display this attitude when Mr. Deragon asked us the question “Who like the idea of a Exhibition Journal” I raised up hands but most of the class but did not agree.

Next week, I would like to work on the Attribute “Inquirer” because we will be doing a lot more work about our current unit. So I must be curious and wonder more.

So again next week I will try to ask more question, wonder more and last but not least be more curious!

The storage was very dirty, dark, at night it was the worst part to be because you would hear wolves howling. The whole place looked terrible, the first time I went in I had to get out in five seconds flat.

My name is Adrian, I am in grade 6. One day after school, my teacher Mr. Deragon told me to go to the storage to fetch him two box of crayons and one electronic pencil sharpener. I refused but then he pulled out ten dollars and told me if I would do as he says he will give me the ten dollars. I still refused, he then pulled out one hundred dollars and said “If get the two box of crayons and one electronic pencil sharpener, I will give you a hundred dollars.” I tried to refuse but the deal was so good, that was because the storage was really scary I hesitated but finally I agreed.
