Recently I and my class have been doing a Unit Of Inquiry topic about communication technology. I particularly found those communication technologies used often at home such as Skype, iPhone, iPod, Prezi, email, text messaging, Facebook, Youtube, twitter, internet..etc are very popular and convenient. These technologies can help us to bring and/or receive information, message, or knowledge very fast .
For example, Skype is one of my favorite communication technologies. My father is quite often on a business trip, so we both communicate by using Skype. This allows us to see each other (face to face) while we are having conversations together. My father usually uses his i Phone to do Skype while I would use my MacBook. One of the best things about Skype is that it’s free of charge. I can use Skype to keep in touch with my friends and my family when I am traveling, I just need to bring my MacBook. But sometimes if the person that I want to talk to is not available, I can just leave a message through Skype.
Skype is one of those communication technologies keeping people closely social connected. Needless to say, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter are the examples of the world most powerful social networking tool. Sometimes it can draw millions of audiences around the world. The development of communication technology today is getting very advanced, very user-friendly, very influential and very convenient for our every day life, but it can be very dangerous too, because information can be spread very fast.
