LTT(Learning and Teaching) Skills

by Justin on October 9, 2011

In this post, there are a few reflections about my school learning. They all have to do with LTT.

1.Picasa(a website that we can load photos on)

Task: So whatever photos our teacher told us that we have to put it on Picasa to let everyone see it. We use Picasa to share our photos.

Purpose: I chose to talk about Picasa because it is a very useful tool and I want to tell you about Picasa and how my class uses it.

Learning: I learnt that there is a really useful tool on the internet that you can put pictures in, and you can even put videos there too! I learnt how to put photos and videos in Picasa, add comments and captions for one photo/video. I even know how to edit info about a photo/video/album. Uploading stuff is an easy skill if you know how to do it.

2.IMovie(an application in apple where you can make movies with cool effects)

Task: Through out the Summative Assessment of WWA (Who We Are) we had two parts and they both included editing in IMovie.

Purpose: I am sharing this to you so you can also learn some skills in IMovie and share my experience with it.

Learning: I have used IMovie before, and I use it a lot of times before. Because of that, I did not really learn some new skills, but I still learned some, like exporting movies in another way.

Goals: I hope to know all the skills in IMovie so I could function IMovie properly.

3.Backup

Task: The task is to Backup our computer so when we re-image our computer, our data could be stored in case if any of the data in the computer is deleted (rarely deleted)

Purpose: I shared this with you because I want to tell you about Backing Up the computer and what I know about it.

Learning: I learnt how to Backup my computer because I have never done it. All you have to do is to drag all your files to the HardDrive, or you can use Time Machine, another application, to save the progress of the computer for you. I also learnt how to check your sizes of your files. In this task, I learnt a new and useful skill.
