Procedural Writing

What you need:

A piece of lined paper
A pencil

What to do:

1. Write ’1.’ on the top of the piece of paper.
2. Write down the 1st step. The sentence must be an order and start with a verb.
3. Write ’2.’ and put the next step. It is better to put ‘Next, …’.

4. You should end up with a list of jobs to do. This is the best procedural writing.

A task for you to do

In the comments column, write a procedural writing about sharpening a pencil. (Usually, do not put in the little detail. This time, do.)

Have fun!

Hey there and thank you for your info – I have certainly picked up anything new from right here. Can you express more about procedural writing? I’m trying to teach somebody to make a cake but I still can’t make out how.
