Dicey, a thirteen-year-old girl, and her family James, Maybeth and Sammy, are abandoned by their mother in the middle of Connecticut. They are supposed to go to Bridgeport to their Aunt Cilla’s house. They use many days to walk over to Bridgeport, earning money and buying food along the way.
We have read to Chapter Six (me, Boss 16, Boss 6, Boss 18 and Boss 26) and we have read till Dicey and James earn lots of money and take a boat to a clean happy graveyard.
I think Dicey and her family will make it to Bridgeport.
I do not have any confusions yet-I understand the book well.
