The Flying Pumpkins

Have you seen my flying pumpkins?
They’re somewhere in the air-
They took off from the kitchen,
They flew right down the stairs.

Now that I have said this,
You will not really care.
But if you ask the grocer,
None of his pumpkins are there!

Have you seen my flying pumpkins?
They’re somewhere in the air.
They really did cost quite a lot-
What happened to my chair?

My Poor Hamster

One day
When I was in my lab
My hamster came
And swallowed up my helium!
Then my hamster went:
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Then exploded.
And today
I should lock the door
In case my brother comes
And explodes.

The Apple

It was a surprise
An apple fell on Sammy.
He made apple pie.

The Fish

One little fishy,
Got caught by a fisherman.
He ate it for lunch.

Autumn

Autumn comes at night
He turns on the harvest moon
Farmers gather crops.

Water

Water
Washing, swishing
Always in the ocean
Creates tsunamis all day long

A Martian

There once was a Martian from Mars,
Who wanted to learn to drive cars.
He took off with a roar,
But ran into a boar,
Since then he’s been smoking cigars.

Bio Poems

Whitney
Tiny, lazy, sneaky, and fidgety,
Lover of books, fishes, and video games,
Who feels sleepy when doing homework, sad when going to sleep, and relaxed when reading,
Who finds excitement in preparing for surprises, the first day of school, and running through the neighborhood,
Who needs sleep, free time and air conditioning,
Who gives tips, help with homework, and bits of her knowledge,
Who fears doing homework, horror movies, and getting in trouble,
Who enjoys camping, bowling, and folding paper airplanes,
Who craves swimming pools, her own gym, and a garden,
Who would like to see a green HK, countries that are fair to their citizens, and her brother learn to cook,
Y.
