Hey!
So today is Friday!! But before telling you guys about our field trip.. ect. ect…. I want to tell you about something that just happened!
So, the class 6B left the room unlocked with their computers on their desks! Well, our teacher told us to each of us to take one computer! My friend Rachel, took 6B’s teachers computer! Haha! But then, the teacher came into the classroom and our teacher told my friend to give back the computer! Now the students have to come to the classroom and apologize to the teacher! PWND!
And now.. Back to this week. I am just gonna do a really brief summary of our field trip!! YAY! Um.. Okay, so we went to the Geo Park to take a look at special rock. Every class in the grade went, we were the last class to go! The bus ride took about a hour, it was super long! But then after a while, we could have a bathroom break! At the bathroom break, ms. Tam went to do paper work while we were having fun playing tag! :p The site had hexagonal columns, there was also another type of column called s shaped. We all had to form different questions for the rocks. This is the answers for my questions:
1.How Were The Rocks Formed?
Extreme explosion, large depression, filled with volcanic ash, fragment and lava, joints/ cracks extended perpendicular downwards durning the cooling of the rocks. Contraction of cooling rocks towards the forming hexagonal column.
S Shapes- twisting because of the Earth’s movements, cracks form because of the excessive twisting.
2.When Were The Rocks Formed?
140 million years ago, is when the columns formed the shapes.
That basicly concludes the whole trip since we hiked to see many rocks! Oh Yeah! On our way, me and Rachel found rocks with quarts in them! It was so fun to look at them shining in the sunlight!
Today is special because we got to watch all of our stop motion animations. ( A Stop motion animation is when you take a series of pictures and then run them together really fast, kind of like a cartoon.) Remember last time when I told you guys about it! So we finished but we were all embarrassed when our animation was playing! HAHA!
But it was really quite fun to see everyones animations! It was awesome to learn so much more information about how different landforms had changed and how they formed! There were a lot of repeats of the landforms however, some landforms were very new to me and so I learned a lot more!
So Thats All About This Weeks That Seems Very Interesting And Weird!
Bye!
