Grade 7 Transition

Today the Grade 6 students went did a transition activity where each class goes to a different Grade 7 homeroom teacher and they tell us about the changes in grade 7. I’m kind of nervous because grade 7 is totally different from grade 6 and you have to be super organized. The grading system is also different. In the lower school, we had approaching, meeting and exceeding expectations, but in upper school, we have numbers (1-7). If you get all subjects except for one 5 or above, you get a n honer role, if you get everything except for one six or above, you’ll get principles award. I am kind of worried about grade 7 because you have two schedules, day one and day two. You have to be super organized and independent. If you miss deadlines, the teachers wont chase you down, you have to make sure it is handed in.

For the most part, I’m really excited for grade 7 because even thought many things are changing and you wouldn’t have chinese new year concerts or something, there will be different activities for example the upper school musical. Starting from grade 7, everybody can join. I am really excited for next year, and I can’t wait until August!
