How I have survived this long year I do not know, but I had a lot of fun and I am very proud of myself for achieving everything I wanted to achieve. During this dreary, exciting, tiring, wild, stressful, interesting year, I have learned a lot, made new friends, and was totally random. They said Grade 5 would be a huge transition year, and now I know why. There were more changes than the first four months of a newborn baby! (Yes, I know I need to work on my similes) Academically, I feel very successful, drastically improving in all my subjects. During the year, I enjoyed writing more and more, and from it I got my favorite piece of work from it.
It was from our “How we organize ourselves” unit, and we had to write a persuasive piece in the perspective of a figure in society.
If you’ve known me for some time, you’ll probably know that my true hobby is sports. While I play for my other soccer team, I am still loyal to my class. In this year’s Grade5 sports day, my class, 5A won the 4×100 relay. Meanwhile, I had some good tournaments with the school team MLFA.
These were my goals for the year:
- Being more organized with my belongings
- Being more enthusiastic in class, especially Chinese
My first goal is being more organized with my belongings during the day, especially with Grade 5 having more subjects than before. A year ago, I was pretty bad. Now, 12 months later, all these conferences with my parents and teacher, I have definitely had some progress. The most effective strategy in my opinion is when you wake up in the morning, spend 5 minutes thinking about your day and what you will need.
Also, being more enthusiastic in classes such as chinese is also one of my major goals. This is the first time I’ve said this, but this year’s chinese class was extremely dull. But, as a result of my mental perspective change, I now know that Chinese is for my own good, in this chinese environment.
So, to round it all off, this was an incredible year, not to mention unforgettable and random.
